Let it Snow ! Happiest Country "Finland"

My trip to the most amazing Happiest country " Finland "

trip to Finland can be an exciting and enriching experience, offering a blend of natural beauty, vibrant cities, and rich cultural heritage.

from my country Kuwait i took Turkish airlines , transit in Istanbul for 4 hours waiting , and direct we travel to Lapland: If you're visiting during winter, experiencing Lapland is a must. Enjoy activities like husky sledding, reindeer safaris, and witnessing the Northern Lights. In summer, explore the pristine wilderness through hiking, fishing, and wildlife watching.

visiting also Rovaniemi: Known as the official hometown of Santa Claus, Rovaniemi offers unique attractions like Santa Claus Village, where you can meet Santa himself, cross the Arctic Circle, and visit the Arctic SnowHotel

one day i decided to stay at the hotel, it was -20 degree and take my time to if i want to go out to  walk around , so on lunch time i went to amazing restaurant near my hotel , and order my warm meal , while I'm looking at the window i saw that beautiful old lady and a man , she wears a hat and fur jacket , she looks very Wealthy, putting a large bowl cooking by wooden fire , and the people directly making one line waiting for her to serve them a delicious Salmon fish soup , it makes my day when i saw people making charity things , warming up the people at the street and families don't have the amount to pay for the salmon fish soup.

Lapland: Head to Finland's northernmost region, Lapland, for the highest probability of seeing the Northern Lights. Towns like Rovaniemi, Inari, and Kilpisjärvi offer excellent viewing opportunities ,during my stay i took 2 trips to watch the Aurora but it was very light and not showing up , while we stayed at the tent warming up ourselves from the cold .

but finally i saw it from roof cafe near our hotel , the aurora lights show up for less than 5 minutes but it looks magical !

Best Time to See the Northern Lights,Tips for Viewing:

  • Winter Months: The best time to see the Northern Lights in Finland is during the winter months, typically from September to March. This period offers long, dark nights, ideal for observing the auroras.
  • Clear Skies: Choose nights with clear skies and minimal light pollution for the best viewing conditions.
  • Lapland: Head to Finland's northernmost region, Lapland, for the highest probability of seeing the Northern Lights. Towns like Rovaniemi, Inari, and Kilpisjärvi offer excellent viewing opportunities.
  • Remote Areas: Seek out remote areas away from urban centers and artificial lights to maximize your chances of seeing the auroras. National parks and wilderness areas provide ideal settings for aurora hunting.
  • Aurora Forecasts: Check aurora forecasts and solar activity predictions to increase your chances of witnessing the Northern Lights. you will find some helpful Apps.
  • Darkness: Wait until after sunset and find a dark location with an unobstructed view of the northern horizon.
  • Patience: Be patient and allow time for the auroras to appear. Sometimes they may start as faint wisps and gradually intensify.
  • Warm Clothing: Dress warmly in layers, as temperatures can be extremely cold, especially during winter nights in Finland.i bought the  small packets that produce heat when exposed to air. Simply shake or activate them, and they provide several hours of warmth. also i bought the same for feet , They're convenient and widely available at outdoor stores, convenience stores, and online.
  • Photography: If you plan to photograph the Northern Lights, bring a sturdy tripod and a camera capable of capturing long exposures in low light conditions.

  1. Visiting Santa Claus Village: While not a traditional museum, Santa Claus Village is a popular tourist attraction in Rovaniemi. It features Santa's official post office, shops, restaurants, and opportunities to meet Santa Claus himself.

im in Love with dogs , so the Husky sledding trip also it was amazing experience !

i always checking the area and i found amazing museums . rktikum: Located in Rovaniemi, Arktikum is a museum and science center focusing on Arctic issues, nature, and culture. It offers exhibitions on topics such as the indigenous Sámi culture, Arctic wildlife, and the history of Rovaniem.Sámi handicrafts and artworks, including items made from reindeer antler, leather, and natural fibers. Don'tmiss it !
